We had a kick-off meeting for an NRF-funded project about "Lignin-first" biorefinery for carbon neutrality at UNIST. Prof. Ryu and his team won the "Lignin-first" grant as a PI and hope to develop breakthrough technologies for the practical utilization of natural aromatic polymer lignin. UNIST is going to lead the project in collaboration with researchers at Catholic University of Korea, University of Ulsan, Korea Institute of Energy Research, and Sugar Co., Ltd.
